Hope Cottage – Rooms

Hope Cottage dates back to the early 16th Century and was beautifully converted in 2005. It is believed to be the oldest property along the famous Peddars Way and in 2005 won the Mayors Special Award for the conversion to a home with impressive original features. The outdoor space provides another room with its undercover seating area.

Ground Floor


Sun Room

Main Entrance – This lovely room with bi-fold glazed doors overlooking the garden. There is a wood-burning stove and underfloor heating to ensure that this room is warm and comfortable throughout the year. Tastefully furnished with a dining table and two chairs, wicker armchairs – perfect for relaxing, dining and enjoying the view. There is a lockable door leading into the kitchen.

Kitchen

The kitchen has vaulted ceiling with painted beams and a stable door from the kitchen to the sun room. Fully equipped kitchen with a range of wall and base units and worktop surfaces incorporating a stainless steel sink. The cooker is electric and there is also a dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, wall mounted flat screen TV, breakfast bar and 2 stools.

Hallway

The entrance hall has garden views and leads to the living areas.

Sitting Room

Lovely room with original beamed ceiling and a wood-burning stove. There is a leather sofa with a wall-mounted flat screen TV and Blu-ray DVD player.

Shower Room

With a fully enclosed shower with drencher head, hand basin, WC, heated towel rail and a heated floor.

Garden

Outside there are two areas of gardens, the North gardens are landscaped with a pretty summerhouse and traditional pump. The main gardens enjoy a South and West facing aspect with a traditional brick terrace leading onto the main lawn where there are the remains of and old Norfolk double dweller property. In the garden is a restored outside loo! There’s an outside table and chairs as well as a garden bench to sit and enjoy the peaceful location. There is a public footpath near to the cottage with direct access onto Peddars Way and the Norfolk coastal path.

This fabulous newly created high ceilinged room has exposed beams and bi-fold glazed doors opening out to the attractive landscaped garden. A lovely place to sit and relax with a comfy leather sofa, armchair, coffee table, a Smart TV and DAB digital radio.

Double Bedroom

Beautifully presented room with original beamed pitched ceiling and distant sea views. There is a double bed, bedside tables and lamps, chair, dressing table, hanging space and fitted high level TV with remote control.
