Towns and Villages

Moraira (1.5km)
Originally a small fishing village, Moraira has grown into an ideal holiday retreat of perfect proportions, retaining much of its original character and atmosphere. It has attractive and colourful main streets, a picturesque Marina and wonderful blue flag sandy beaches. The combination of terraced vineyards, wonderful mountains and blue sea, combine to make this an area of spectacular beauty.
There are no high rise holiday hotels and no package holiday hotels. Instead, beautiful private villas and 'pueblo style' developments line the slopes of the valley, which gently decline towards the beach and town. This dictates to a degree, the type of holidaymaker found in Moraira. Those attracted to this resort, tend to be family units, using or renting privately owned villas.

Javea (20 minutes drive)
Javea is a historic town situated behind a wide bay and sheltered between two rocky headlands. The town is split into three distinct areas: the old town, the port and the Arenal.
The Old Town was once a walled town to protect the inhabitants from marauding pirates that once sailed this coast. In the centre of town, mostly built in original Tosca stone hewn from the rocky shore, sits the Church of Sant Bartolomé which dates back to the late 14th century.
The port also has a number of restaurants (some on the sea front), a gravel beach and marina.
The sandy beach area of the Arenal is an arc of wide white sand flanked by a promenade of shops, bars and restaurants. Many of the bars offer live music and stay open until the early hours.

Denia (25 minutes drive)
Denia lies approximately 7km north of Javea along a spectacular winding mountain road watched over by Montgo Mountain. It is an attractive resort with a fascinating old town, fine restaurants and magnificent beaches stretching for miles to the north.
There is a ferry to Ibiza and the Balearic islands from Denia daily.

Guadalest (40 minutes drive)
Twenty-five kilometres inland from Benidorm in the foothills of the Sierra de Aitana mountain range is the picturesque village and 'Castell de Guadalest'. This famous fortress was built by the Moors nearly 1,300 years ago and it was then only accessible through a 15 meter long tunnel through solid rock.
