The Gables comprises of almost 4,000sq ft of traditional accommodation with all the modern luxuries. The down stairs reception areas flow from room to room around a most impressive central staircase that leads to a galleried landing off which is each of the bedrooms that all have their own en-suite bathrooms.Highlights

The village of Thornham typifies the beauty and tranquillity of the north Norfolk coast with its wonderful beaches, wildlife and traditional Norfolk pubs.
During the 18th and 19th centuries Thornham was home to a large harbour and became popular with smugglers who would sink their contraband off the coast in water-tight containers for locals to retreive when the tide had receded. The well-known Life Boat Inn on the edge of the marshes is said to be the place where the Smugglers would then head back to with their goods.
Today the Life Boat Inn is still a very popular pub to visit and it has retained all of its original charm and character. There are also 2 other excellent pubs / restaurants in Thornham – The Coach House and the Orange Tree that are also well worth visiting.
The beach and surrounding marshes provide a beautiful area for walking and forms part of the Norfolk Coast Path. Many well known spots can be located on route to the beach from the marshes along the bank including the famous Thornham Stumps and Boat House.

3 night or 1 week (7 night booking) during holiday periods and peak season, our changeover and arrival day is Fridays.
